"October arrived, spreading a damp chill over the grounds and into the castle." -JK Rowling
Small town charm and castles are two of my passions. And Doylestown, a gem located in Pennsylvania, has both. I visited Doylestown on two consecutive weekends in October (because once proved sorely insufficient) and remembrances from each trip linger in my mind daily. This is largely due to the fact that both days proved idyllic in retrospect. The sort of good days that you retire from with a state of contentedness that leaves you feeling at perfect ease with the universe, save for wanting the feeling to last a little longer. But it wanes, recalled only through the memory of that perfect day. Which is exactly what I am doing right now. Though these photos cannot convey the moments behind them, I hope they speak of Fonthill Castle and its beauty in the way that only photos can.
